Misol-ha Waterfalls

Misol-ha Waterfalls
As an attraction very close to the Palenque Archaeological Zone, we find this beautiful waterfall, famous for the harmony that combines the elements of water and jungle. A waterfall of approximately 25 meters high, which, upon falling, forms a wide pool where it is possible, with caution, to go swimming.

This refreshing and beautiful spot is without a doubt one of the most beautiful places in Chiapas and the setting for films such as "Predator" with Arnold Schwarzenegger; being immersed in a typical example of the high tropical rainforest of the Chiapas mountains, and in the midst of rich vegetation composed of tall specimens of mahogany, sapodilla and water trees, with wildlife made up of species such as coyote, naked-tailed armadillo, paca, rabbit, opossum, fox, gray fox, skunk, anteater, night monkey (kinkajou), white-tailed deer, wild boar, raccoon, coati, squirrel, margay, gopher, mouse, parrot, chachalaca, wild dove, hawk, keel-billed toucan, pheasant, chiroptera, bats, boa constrictor, fer-de-lance, saurians, iguanas, casque-headed lizard, mud turtle.
